The classroom teacher is to be notified in advance of the birthday celebration of a student. This celebration must have the teacher’s approval. Such celebrations may not take place during lunch time. These celebrations are to be on a small scale.

In-school celebrations should NOT take the place of out of school celebrations. Each teacher will discuss celebration expectations during Back-toSchool Night in September.

An in-school celebration for birthdays applies to Pre-K through Grade Five only.
