JANUARY2012

We are back in gear after the Christmas holidays. We are happy to be back together in our class.We are finishing our fifth unit of Happily Ever After /the Rowland Reading Foundation.It is preparing us to be readers in Kindergarten.We are hard at work on our self image paintings which are so much fun.We  are looking forward to Catholic Schools Week which begins on Sunday ,January 29. We are having such a wonderful school year. The spirit in our classroom is so positive. We are doing so well with our learning.We have really bonded as a class. We had our anti bullying program kick off .Our cheer is : Bulltying,bullying is not cool! Pre k follows the Golden Rule ! We learned all about the First Thanksgiving and had a great feast in our classroom. Thank you to all the parents who contributed to the feast ! On November 23 we  went to Puppetworks and saw The Reluctant Dragon.We loved it. We learned tha you cannot tell a book by it’s cover. After Thanksgiving we will start practicing for the Christmas pageant on Dec.13.

We had a great” getting to know you” month of September. We had a very busy” dive into Prek” October.Now we are beginning busy November and  then happy December. Our class will work on Thanksgiving themes this month along with Happily Ever After.We are going to see The Reluctant Dragon at Puppetworks. Friendships are growing and our class has a wonderful caring spirit. Adios for now.xo PREK1

We had a great first full week of school. Our class of 11 girls and 10 boys is busy and happy.We are making new friends.We are learning new things. Fall is coming and we are learning about the signs of fall. We are making beautiful puffy leaves for our fall celebration. Show and Tell has begun. We say ,”one,two, three ,action” to get ready. Soon we will begin our Happily Ever After reading program.We are learning to say our prayers so beautifully.We are learning about Jesus’ love for us. We are busy in our classroom.We are learning the routines, getting to know each other and starting on an exciting school year.There is much to do and much to learn.Check back often and we will keep you posted on what is happening in our class! Just so you know, we have 11 girls and 10 boys in our class.Everyone is eager to learn and participate in our activities.Mrs Brannan says that she is a lucky teacher to have such great kids in her class!

For Thanksgiving we are sending a care package to
Alexandria’s mom who is currently stationed in
Afghanistan.  We are also making her a box of smile.
We will be having a class feast to celebrate all that
we are learning about the first Thanksgiving. We are
busy at work with our reading readiness skills.  The
Happily Ever After program makes learning fun!

We are into our first full week of school! We have already had a birthday celebration, played in centers and learned about autumn coming! We have 20 friends in our class.We are learning how to follow rules and be friends.Show and Tell is fun! One, two ,three ,action and we are ready to begin. We are going to have a great PreK year !

We have 20 friends in our class. It is going to be a great year! We have so many experiences ahead of us. We are going to create a class charter and get started working and learning together.Next week ,we will meet the special subject teachers. Alexandria had a birthday this week .Next week ,we will celebrate Marc’s birthday.We already learned some rhymes. Check back here often to find out what exciting things we will be doing!
